Recently I come across a site that sells Facebook tutorial videos as a product.
This site is created by Brad Cusworth and Sean Bridger from Australia. Brad and Sean are from Australia and they have over 3000 friends in their Facebook profile.
When they introduced me their new product (Facebook tutorial) which is going to launch on Monday, I was rather sceptical as I was asking myself what they can teach me.
I have been using Facebook for over the last few months. My accounts were deleted by Facebook a few times. So I know what not to do over the Facebook as I learned the lesson.
Currently I have over 4000 friends over my personal profile, a business group with 1600 members and fan page of over 1700 followers.
When I played the first video, I changed my mind. It is a high resolution video with a professional touch.
One of thing that you may not want to do is to watch the twenty videos in one sitting. If you do that especially if you are new, you will be overwhelmed and most probably quit using Facebook.
These tutorials have put everything in one place so it is a resource where you can access to it when you want to tune your Facebook profile.
If you just fellow the first few video, you could avoid making those mistakes commonly seen in most Facebook users.
You may think that you can find some video over Youtube on how to set up a Facebook page. This is what I thought at first, but what i found out that those free video is only 10% of this complete video tutorial.
I have a lot of my associates asking me how can I help them to set up their Facebook profile, form a group and page to brand themselves over the Facebook. There is no resource that I can direct them to get a step by step instruction.
I really like that the author show me over 10 applications that they used to build relationship with their friends. This is so cool and important!
You can imagine how you go thorough over 50000 applications and still do not know which one to use!

I might have been inclined to say that this would be a good deal for you, considering it would cost you a mere $39, but the lack of real case studies has kind of left me feeling short-changed, like I mentioned earlier. I started to generate traffic using Social Media marketing with facebook, myspace and twitter.com.
Let me share with you what are my mistakes when I am using facebook and myspace
1) Not using a smart looking photograph. This is the first thing people notice when visiting my profile. I learned a lot of what common mistakes people made with their photo and will share with you some other time.
2) Instead of using my own name, I use my product name or even some generic name. In facebook or myspace, people want to know who is the person they interact with. They want to know the real me. I also realize this myself that I do not want to add people with generic name as my friends.
3) I do not take time to set up my profile and it is blank. When people landed on my profile page, it has nothing about me. The worse thing is when I started to post link to my business opportunity page. This is like trying to propose to someone who I just met to marry me. While you all know what happen, right? No one is interested.
4) I was trying to add lots of friends. I was importing email address from my gmail and trying to get them to be my friends. Now when I think about that, there are some email address that I had no idea who is this person. The next thing is adding friends whenever I can find. I was adding at a speed that facebook and myspace was too upset with me. They decided to kick me out from their site. That was so much I know about relationship building and social networking.
These are some of the mistakes that I made when I started. I can tell you that I did some other too and will share with you some other time.
I have been in facebook for a while now, and I still see the same mistakes repeating over and over again.
I had to learn all these by myself as I was not willing to seek help from mentors.
I have wasted too much time and energy to come back again from each deletion.

Afraid the recession is here to stay a bit longer? If so, you’re not alone. But it doesn’t take a recession to create problems for your business. Even if things are going great right now, you need business generating strategies when times are tough. Some of MLM distributors fear a recession; reason that if the economy is poor, customers will cut back their budget and stop spending.
This is true to a certain degree. A recession can be a problem for your business, or it can be an opportunity to gain new clients and boost sales. The different is MLM Pro use marketing and sales methods that work best in recession.
The following are some of the strategies that MLM Pro use to maintain and even increase their sales, while most MLM distributors struggle to stay afloat.
1) Wake up your dormant customers/distributors
This means calling up your customers/distributors used to be buying your products or doing the business at one time but for some reasons, they stopped.
The quick and easy way is look for your customers/distributors list and give them a call. Your purpose is to get in touch with them and find out their current situation.
You will be surprised to find out that they may actually be more open to your presentation as their life circumstances may have change as time passed.
You may want to meet up to strengthen your rapport, credibility and trust with them.
Remember to present your case in term of your client’s interest and offer them the appropriate benefits that they are looking for.
You may even want to teach your distributors and help them to do the same. Sometime, you may want to take over the list and work all the ways to wake up a sleeping giant.
This is not the time to be calculative and remember you still benefit even if it is a few levels deep. You will be enjoying the overriding commissions and may “wake up” their upline as well.
What you need to do is just make a call to offer them your help to grow their business. Isn’t that simple? But there is lots of people just don’t do it.
DO NOT START HARD SELLING on your products and business opportunity when you called. You will fall flat on your face.
If you are not comfortable to call them for various reasons, you may want to send a postcard, some interesting articles or testimonials from your customers to them. This will serve the same purpose as calling them up.
I have seen at least one in ten responded to this type of wake up call. You never know that you may actually discover a goldmine.
This strategy alone increases your group sales volumes and put money into your pocket.
2) Contact your old leads
If you are like most of the MLM distributors, you most probably called a lead once or twice. If they didn’t response, you most probably give up and forget about them.
Most of the leads that you give up may turn into a profitable customer or distributor. Studies have shown that most salesperson regardless of industry give up too early in the sales cycle.
We all know that it takes at least 7 “no” to turn a prospect into customer. But most salesperson is gone before that.
The best way to contact your old leads is to call them out and find out their current situation. During the conversion, you can find out what is their immediate needs and if they are looking for a solution.
This works best for leads not older than one year.
This strategy will work for you provided you respect every person whom you meet. It is very important that during your initial sales contact with prospect, you leave a good impression with them. You must be helpful, knowledgeable and caring towards everyone you meet. Nobody will like to talk to you again if you are prude and snobbish. It is crucial that you never shut your back door. You never know when you need them again. Most of the time when you need them again, it could be life saving.
Most of these re contacted leads are willing to meet up with you for a further discussion. At least 25 to 40% will become your customers or distributors if you can fulfill their needs.
Applying these basic strategies will keep your busy and put money in your pocket. I will share with you some other advanced strategies some other times.

Another work from home scam surfaced in Singapore and they are being brought to justice in 2009.
Is this a failure of Network marketing scheme? After doing some detailed studies, I found that the problem is due to misuse of the distribution system.
This is the details:
The management team of Sunshine Empire is facing 20 charges, including running a fraudulent business and criminal breach of trust.
Sunshine Empire was set up in May 2006
At Sunshine Empire, people signing up as merchants under specific plans to shop on its online shopping platform get consumer rebates known as ‘e-points’, which can be used for online shopping or converted to cash. The rebates are not guaranteed.
The scheme is structured in such a way that participants are not required to use the rebates to buy Sunshine’s goods.
With an out front investment of $12K (USD 8000), you will get $1000 (USD 677) back every month for the next 8 years.
In Singapore, there are about 20000 members and the company collected S$189 million. (USD 126 million)
The founder of the company is known most famously for the collapse of “Magic Kingdom” resort project in Indonesia in 2002/3 where hundreds of people lost a total of few millions. He is also known to head various dubious MLM companies
What do you learn from report?
1) There is a lack of proper education of what is a legitimate network marketing business opportunity.
Any Network marketing scheme is illegal where the commission comes from sponsoring of other members.
All legitimate companies rewards their members through products sales.
2) You should be cautious when you ask to invest a large sum of money up front.
3) Company presents a plan where you just need to invest money and make large amount of dividend each month (more than 1% per month) belong to high yield investment plan. The risk of losing your money is very high. But most of the time, they use distribution channel like MLM to market their service. Majority of them also use internet to solicit their business. I have done some research; most of them have shut down their operation after 12 to 18 months. As a result, the late comers lost all their investment.
4) When you want to build your MLM business with a company, please know who is in the management team. You may want to check out the background and the history of top management officer.
5) Be aware of your own emotion that controls your decision. Most of the members that join Sunshine Empire are due to greed. When your emotion is high, intelligent will be low. When you are in doubt, do not rush to make a decision. Take some time to think about and ask some questions as to where they get their funding to pay you.
6) Do not give up on network marketing. There are many more legitimate network marketing opportunities waiting for you. You must continue to pursue your dream of financial freedom and do not give up.
You must be careful in deciding which business opportunity to invest your money and time. Then making money and achieving financial freedom using network marketing should be rather easy and simple.
